Pastoral Care
Illnesses & Bereavement
Pastoral Care provides a ministry to individuals and families affected by illness, hospitalization, terminal diagnosis, disease, and bereavement, as well as their long-term effects.
Our pastors visit members in area hospitals and health care facilities and are available 24 hours a day, everyday of the year. To schedule an appointment, to share a concern, or for medical emergencies call 512.892.2703.
We strive to be guided by the challenge and spirit set forth in James 5:11, 13-15 “...the Lord is full of compassion and is merciful...and prayer offered in faith will restore...” And the promise of Isaiah 53: 4-5 that reminds us that “Our grief or sickness He Himself bore, and our sorrows or pain He carried...”
Yarns of Love
Yarns of Love is a ministry dedicated to creatively combining our faith with our works by knitting, crocheting, and sewing gifts of love for others in need. Some of our recent projects include baby blankets for the Austin Pregnancy Resource Center, preemie caps for NICUs, hats and scarves for the homeless, helmet liners for our soldiers, lapghans for nursing home residents, and chemo caps for cancer patients. You can read more about Yarns of Love and our mission statement here.
DivorceCare
There aren't many people around you who understand the pain your separation or divorce has caused. To you. Your family. Your friends. That's the reason for DivorceCare. It's a special weekly support group and seminar conducted by people who understand what you are experiencing. Most importantly, you'll learn how to deal with the pain of the past and look forward to rebuilding your life. DivorceCare is non-denominational and meets every Sunday from 4:30 - 6:00 PM in AC-303.
Food Pantry
The BBC Food Pantry began in 1999 after volunteers saw the need to help families through tough times. Every Thursday from 9:00-11:30 AM, volunteers give of their time to help people in need. Food, Bibles and an encouraging word are given to the individuals and families that visit the Food Pantry. Workers are always welcomed -- plus donations of food are gladly accepted to distribute.

The Counseling Center at Bannockburn offers Christ-centered lay counseling (led by trained volunteers) and mentoring. For more information on the Counseling Center, click here.
