Bannockburn Baptist Church

What to Expect

We hope the following information will make your first visit with us an enjoyable one. Our passion is to see that you feel right at home. Be sure to take a good look around our web site before you visit to familiarize yourself with our church and some of the friendly people you will meet.

  • What is your Sunday schedule?
Our morning services are identical and are held at 9:30 and 11:00 in the Worship Center. We also have Growth Groups (Bible study classes) at 9:30 and 11:00 for all ages. Click here for a current list of classes [PDF].
  • What should I wear?
We certainly don’t have a dress code, but we thought you might like to know what to expect when you arrive. Members and guests who attend our Sunday morning, Sunday evening or Wednesday events are very relaxed and casually dressed. Those who attend our Sunday morning services wear everything from jeans to a suit and tie or dress. So, feel welcome to come just as you are. We are honored to have you as our guest.

  • Where do I go?
When you arrive at Bannockburn, you will be greeted at the doors by our Greeting Team. These are folks just like you who understand how stressful it can be visiting a new church. They will be readily available to help you or you and your family get settled in for a great morning.

Take a minute to stop by the Welcome Center in the Worship Center foyer. This is where you may pick up information about the church, talk with a pastor to ask any questions you may have about the church, and/or get information about Growth Groups (Sunday School and Discipleship classes).

  • Are there activities for my children?

Absolutely! We have Sunday options for newborns through high school seniors. The links below provide details about the classes available during the 9:30 and 11:00 sessions. No matter what age, there is a class designed specifically for your children.

Classes for preschoolers can be found here.

Classes for children grades K-5th can be found here.

Classes for middle school students can be found here.

Classes for high school students can be found here.

  • Where should I park?
Parking can become hard to find on Sunday morning. A few parking options include our south parking lot (Convict Hill side), the Bannockburn / Walgreen’s parking lot (from William Cannon or Brodie) and Covington Middle School.
  • May I bring my venti, two-pump vanilla, non-fat, extra hot, caramel machiatto into church?

Yes, but only if you bring one for the rest of us (kidding, of course). Yes, you may bring your drink with you. However, be sure to finish it before entering the Worship Center. That's the one place where food and beverages are not permitted. And by the way, why not save your money and get coffee at church? Yep, we've got you covered - we have free coffee between services in the Family Center.
