Bannockburn Baptist Church

Women

The Women's Enrichment Ministry (WEM) seeks to encourage, connect with and support women by providing avenues for developing a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Our heart's desire is for women to know and reflect the compassion of Christ.

The WEM is pleased to offer ministry opportunities for the women of BBC. If you are interested in participating or would like more information, contact Debbie Medlin at 512.892.2703, x225.

Opportunities
Bible Studies
Tuesday mornings at 9:30 AM (childcare provided), Wednesday evenings and other times are great opportunities to gather with other women to study the wonderful teachings in God's Word.

Following the Shepherd
This ministry is for anyone interested in mentoring other women or in being mentored. No experience needed except the life you have lived, your journey, the good times and the times of struggles and trials. Short trainings are scheduled on a regular basis for those interested in becoming a mentor.

Yarns of Love
Yarns of Love is a ministry dedicated to creatively combining our faith with our works by knitting and crocheting gifts of love for others in need. Some of our recent projects include baby blankets for the Austin Pregnancy Resource Center, chemo caps for cancer patients, hats and scarves for the homeless and more. Join us at one of our monthly workshops to learn how to knit or crochet and fellowship as we work on new projects. For more information, visit the Yarns of Love website.

Prayer Ministries
"Lada Yada" Prayer Groups are weekly or bimonthly prayer and devotional opportunities for women to meet, share and pray for one another in an intimate, confidential, small-group atmosphere.
Moms in Touch are groups of concerned Moms that get together weekly to pray for their children and the school they attend.

Faithbooking
Gives women an opportunity to journal using photos, stories and more so that they will be able to remember and record the significant times and people in their lives and to preserve those memories for future generations. This is also a wonderful opportunity to meet other ladies or introduce a friend that may not know the Lord to caring Christian outreach and fun fellowship.

Secret Sisters
Volunteers meet every month to create "care packages" that may include a handmade card with Scripture and other goodies to lift the spirits of women who need to be reminded of how special they are to God.  Anyone interested in volunteering their time, adopting the ministry for a month to help fund the care packages, or to donate specific supplies, contact Debbie Medlin at 512.892.2703, x225.
