Spring Break Opportunities
Thomas Wright Homeless Ministry
Event Date: Saturday, March 9
Event Time: 12:30PM – 3:00PM
Event Address: 501 Brushy St, Austin, TX 78702 (The ND Club- at the corner of E. 5th street & Brushy street)
Description: After a quick volunteer meeting with Thomas Wright, volunteers will attend a worship service which includes a sermon and the opportunity to pray for and with the homeless guests. Volunteers will serve lunch; clean-up; and put up chairs/tables/etc. Volunteers must be age 10 or older and should register online since the number of volunteers for this opportunity is limited. Childcare will not be provided.
Up to 20 volunteers will be given the opportunity of serving and expressing love to the homeless in Austin.

South Austin Pregnancy Resource Center (SAPRC)
Event Date: Monday, March 11, 2013
Event Time: 4:00PM – 6:00PM
Event Address: 4611 S. Manchaca Road, Austin, TX 78745
Description: A project, which may consist of cleaning the house, compiling files, and/or sorting donations, will be given to each volunteer. Volunteers must be age 6 or older and should register online since the number of volunteers for this opportunity is limited. Childcare will not be provided.
Up to 20 volunteers will be given a tour of the SAPRC; provided information about the ministry; and given a project.

New Mom Bags
Event Date: Tuesday, March 12, 2013

Event Address: BBC South Austin Campus, Rooms EC 101/102
Description: Activity will be to fill 100 small, gift-like bags which will be given to the South Austin Resource Pregnancy Center for distribution to new moms. The bags include items for the babies such as pacifiers, small baby bath soaps, and onesies and items for the new moms such as hand lotion, bubble bath soap, small nail polish, or lip-gloss. Volunteers must be age 5 or older and should register online since the number of volunteers for this opportunity is limited. Bannockburn will provide the items which will be used to fill the bags. Childcare will not be provided.
Up to 10 volunteers will be given the opportunity to participate in this activity.

“Just Add Water

Description: Activity will be to 150 bags with “just add water” supplies. These bags are given to the homeless in our community providing them with a basic personal hygiene kit. Volunteers must be age 5 or older and should register online since the number of volunteers for this opportunity is limited. Bannockburn will provide the items which will be used to fill the bags. Childcare will not be provided.

Angel House Soup Kitchen
